Scouts BSA/Venturing Summer Camp Program

2025 Camp Theme

The theme for the Scouts BSA program in summer 2025 is TBA.

Open to All Scouts BSA Youth, Venturers and Registered Adults

Whether you are attending camp for a full week, a short week or as part of the day only program, you will be able to take part in any of the programs available for Scouts BSA youth and registered adults. Due to changes within the BSA we will not be offering our Family Camping option, as in the past three years.

What's There to Do?

The program fills each day with adventure and the experiences for which youth join Scouting: Character Development, Citizenship Training, Personal Fitness, and Leadership Development activities such as:

  • Shooting Sports: Archery, Rifles, Shotguns
  • Scouting Skills
  • Nature and Conservation
  • Group Games and Sports
  • Arts and Crafts
  • STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics)
  • Camp Songs and Skits
  • Swimming, Boating, Fishing, Mile Swim

Advancement

Trail's Head - This program is designed for new or young Scouts who are still working on reguirements for Scout, Tenderfoot, Second Class and First Class.

Merit Badges - We offer several different merit badges that Scouts can work on during the week. In some cases, completion of the badge may not be possible but every effort will be made to assist the Scout in finishing as many requirements as possible.

Additional Opportunities

Pocumtuc Summer Experience - Week 1

Members of the Order of the Arrow are invited to attend week 1 and participate in the Pocumtuc Summer Experience. During the week you will spend the morning working on various service projects for the camp (one year the fencing at the amphitheatre was installed). The remainder of the day will be spent doing the usual summer camp activities. If your troop is attending camp that week, you can stay with them. If not, then you will join the Provisional Troop. The cost for this program is only $200 for the entire week! Register as a C.I.T. for week one for this discounted rate. Contact any of the Lodge Officers for more information.

Counselor-in-Training - Weeks 1-4
