Horace A. Moses Scout Reservation

310 Birch Hill Rd, Russell, MA 01071

The Horace A. Moses Scout Reservation is located on more than 1,295 acres of land surrounding Russell Pond in the foothills of the Berkshires.

The Moses Scout Reservation is home to Scouts BSA and Cub Scout Summer Camps as part of the Western Massachusetts Council. To find out more click on the summer camp link to the right.

The camp is also available for weekend camping by Scouting units and non-scouting groups during much of the school year. Cabins, shelters, and tents are available on a first-come, first-served basis.

Shooting Sports, Aquatics, COPE and Climbing, and ATV activities are not allowed unless the programs are provided by WMC staff. If you would like to have one of these activities, we will have to put in a request to the respective committees. Please allow a 2-3 week lead time so that we may find and schedule the staff. If you are interested in submitting a request, please contact Greg Williams at the Council Service Center
