Summer campers will join a team of up to 20 boys led by 2 trained adults and several youth leaders who guide the group through daily activities. Our camp programs include everything from Archery to Zoology. A swim test is required upon arrival to place swimmers according to their abilities. Swim lessons are available, along with rowing, sailing, kayaking, lifesaving and canoeing at our waterfront.
In addition to building life-long friendships, the H. A. Moses Horizons Program is great fun while building character and outdoor skills. From our climbing tower to learning to safely drive ATV’s (age 14 and up only), campers can choose the activities they are interested in, participate in fun campfire programs, flag ceremonies, and outdoor skills workshops. During free time campers can play human foosball, gaga ball, visit our trading post for an ice cream or just ‘hang out’ in the great outdoors.
All meals are provided in our dining hall, overnight accommodations are platform level tents with cots. Private bathing facilities include hot showers, sink and toilet. Moses Scout Reservation is accredited by the Boy Scouts of America and maintains a resident medical staff. The camp is approximately 5 miles from Noble Hospital in Westfield.
Camp orientation is required for all interested families and will include information on our physical and registration forms. All participants will be registered using the Boy Scouts of America registration form, so you may enjoy other activities offered by the BSA during the year if you so choose.
We are absolutely certain your son will enjoy the H. A. Moses Horizons Program as many others have over the last 70 years. Our camp is 90 minutes from Boston, two hours from New York City, and fifteen minutes from Exit 3 off the Mass. Pike. Our 2017 Camp season runs from July 9 to July 30. Join us for a partial week, one week, or the whole summer.
