Belay Training (Part 2)
(Part 1) April 23rd: 9am – 4pm
(Part 2) May 14th: 8am - 4pm or June 11th: 8am – 4pm
Who should attend? Anyone interested in learning how to belay so they can help with the climbing tower at Moses.
Why attend? This is the best way to learn the basic skills necessary to help operate and run the Moses climbing tower. It is also the initial step towards certification as a BSA Climbing Instructor in order to bring your unit climbing at the Moses Scout Reservation climbing tower or on natural rock faces.
How much does it cost? There is no cost if you plan to join the Council Climbing Comittee You need to bring your own lunch and water bottle.
- April 23rd 9am-4pm: – Classroom instruction and beginning skills training.
- May 14th/June 11th 8am-4pm: – Continuing instruction and hands on experience with WHOA participants
Where? Pike's Peak Climbing Area @ Moses Scout Reservation, 310 Birch Hill Rd, Russell, MA.
