Giving Tuesday

What Comes after Black Friday & Cyber Monday?

After two days devoted to getting deals, Giving Tuesday is a global day that’s all about giving back. This new tradition of generosity is a nice antidote to the consumerism invading our holidays. Giving Tuesday also presents a great opportunity to help grow Scouting in your community.

What is #GivingTuesday?

A global day dedicated to giving back. On Tuesday, November 28, 2023, people all over the world will come together to celebrate generosity and give to an organization of their choice. Western Massachusetts Council, Boy Scouts of America’s Scouts, Scouters, Families, and Friends will be able to celebrate by giving to support local Scouting in the Western Massachusetts.

Why should I give on #GivingTuesday?

Giving Tuesday is a great way to really show that you care about impacting local youth in your community by supporting local Scouting programs. Scouting not only helps youth develop academic skills, self-confidence, ethics, leadership skills, and citizenship skills that influence their adult lives, they also get to try new things, teaches them how to provide service to others and build self-confidence.

Other reasons on why you should give on Giving Tuesday are that giving provides satisfaction, it is tax-deductible, a little bit goes a long way, and you can make a difference in a child’s life!

Help us by spreading the word about #GivingTuesday! Let your friends, family, and networks know that you’ve made a gift and encourage them to give, too. Post on Twitter, Facebook, or Instagram with the hashtag #GivingTuesday. However, you choose to get the message out, adding your voice will make a difference in the success of Western Massachusetts Council, BSA’s #GivingTuesday.
