WMC Alumni Association

Have you (or someone you know) been positively impacted by Scouting? The Western Massachusetts Council Alumni Association is for you!

The goal of this alumni organization is to reconnect or remain connected to Scouting. You fit, as Scouting America says, “whether a person participated, earned Eagle or simply was a third party recipient of Scouting’s good work, all have been beneficiaries of the Scouting movement.” An alum is “anyone who is personally and positively impacted by the Boy Scouts of America” aka Scouting America.

It is estimated that more than 50 million people alive today have been positively affected by the Boy Scouts of America, now known as Scouting America. While you might think that a lot has changed, (for example, girls in Scouts BSA as Cubs in 2018 and in troops in 2019 and a rebranding as Scouting America denoting constant change) what you remember and value from Scouting is alive and well. That’s because Scouting embraces enduring. The principles of the Scout Oath and Law live on since BSA’s inception in 1910 now en-compassing (pun intended) and positively impacting diverse cultures across the Earth.

This is a no-strings-attached invitation back into the fold of Scouting. It is a way to rekindle old friendships and make new ones. It’s a way to support and learn about new things happening in Scouting today and to support our Council by our presence and energy, the very council that supported you.

If you are interested in joining the WeMCAA, we encourage you to fill out the form below and a member of our committee will be in touch shortly. We look forward to hearing from you!
