ALL UNITS NEED TO BE PRE-REGISTERED ONLINE BY September 20th. Only the anticipated number of youth (Scouts/Siblings/Friends) and adults (Leaders/Family Members) expected to attend is needed at the time of pre-registration. Pre-registration allows the activity committee to identify program sites and have sufficient staffing and materials for the activities. The Planning Committee realizes that you may not be able to finalize rosters until very near the event. Unit Rosters will be submitted and fee balances reconciled at check-in, then payment made in the Trading Post. To properly staff all the events and procure tools, supplies, and materials we must have a reasonable estimate of the number of scouts and adults who will be attending.
THERE WILL BE NO NEW UNIT REGISTRATIONS ON THE DAY OF THE EVENT!
GENERAL INFORMATION
The Cub Scout Spring Fun Day will be held Saturday, October 5, 2024 at the Horace A. Moses Scout Reservation. This day event is hosted by the council activities and civic service committee and is open to all Cub Scout Packs from all districts in the Western Massachusetts Council, as well as neighboring councils.
ACTIVITY FEES
Fees are based on anticipated expenses for the event. The fee includes a patch for each participant, supplies, rentals, insurance, and other costs for the event.
$ 20.00 Scouts
$ 10.00 Other Youth (Siblings, Recruits, Den Chiefs)
$ 5.00 Adults (Registered Leaders and Family/Friends)
All youth and adults onsite for the event must be registered and listed on the roster.
REGISTRATION
Unit pre-registration and a non-refundable deposit payment are expected and must be done online. It truly helps when we know how many to expect. Plus, preregistration also helps save a ton of time at check-in. We are requesting only the anticipated number of registrants at the time of pre-registration. You can add more attendees at the event at the time of check-in, but there will be no refunds of deposits. Names of specific attendees will be expected at check-in using the roster form later in this guide.
All registrants will receive an event Patch (ordered and then sent to the units after the event).
OVERNIGHT CAMPING
The event does not include overnight accommodations or programming, however overnight reservations can be made separately online at https://www.wmascouting.org/hamsr
