2010 SHU SHU GA

Scoutmaster/Asst. Scoutmaster Specific Training
Introduction to Outdoor Leader Skills and
Troop Committee Training

What is it?

"Scoutmaster Fundamentals" consists of three parts. The first part is Troop Committee training designed to help leaders understand who and what the troop committee is, and to help troop committee members to better deliver the promise in support of the troop.   The second part is "Scoutmaster and Assistant Scoutmaster Leader Specific Training" (SMLST) for all adult troop leadership.  The third part is an "Introduction to Outdoor Leader Skills" (IOLS) to help adult leaders with the troop outdoor experience.  Shu Shu Ga incorporates all three parts into one fun comprehensive course. Topics include: Troop Organization, The Role of the Leader, Troop Advancement, the Troop Program, and Troop Planning.

Your troop will surely benefit from your commitment of four Sunday evenings and a weekend.  In addition to the training provided by the BSA national training committee, this Shu Shu Ga course will also provide a wealth of additional outdoor and troop management knowledge in an entertaining, hands-on experience culminating in a weekend of fellowship and fun.  The Shu Shu Ga staff is proud to bring you over 200 years of combined troop leadership experience

Every scout deserves a trained leader
