Camping

Our Western Massachusetts Council camps, Chesterfield Scout Reservation in Chesterfield, MA, & Moses Scout Reservation in Russell, MA, are available for weekend camping by Scouting units during much of the school year. Cabins, shelters, & tenting are available on a first-come, first-served basis. Full payment should accompany all reservation requests to be fair to other Scouting units.

Two-deep adult volunteer leadership at a minimum is required, and all campers must follow all Scouting safety standards and camping protocols as outlined by WMC & BSA.

These standards include proper clothing, gear, preparedness, & training for camping, following the Buddy System at all times, age-appropriate activities, and additional safety rules. We urge you to become well-versed in and observe these guidelines.
