Camp Maintenance

Welcome to the webpage for the council Maintenance committee. On this page you will find information about upcoming events (Beaver days, etc.) when you can join in and help us maintain our great camp property. To volunteer to help with work projects or to donate materials that might be needed for the camps, please contact the council Maintenance committee chair, Steve Kenniston.

In addition, there is a list of specific projects that you and your unit can participate in as a service project while you are camping at Moses.

All work days start at 9:00 am at the shop.
Lunch is provided on all work days.
Please bring your tools and equipment.
Please consider adopting a special project.

Painting Party to Stain the Manor House

Renovations to the interior of the Manor House are well under way but we also need to refurbish the exterior as well. Plan to join us on Saturday, April 22, 2017 (rain date May 20) starting at 9:00 am to apply a new coat of stain to the Manor House.

Everyone, family and friends of all ages, are welcome. You provide the spirit, we provide the hot dogs, hamburgers, soda, chips & music! 

What to bring? A ladder if you can, work gloves, sun lotion and dress to make a mess!

Unit Projects

The following is a list of some of the projects that are available for units to work on while they are at camp.

- remove rocks from grass area (save our new lawnmower)
- clear shot gun range of brush
- clear brush from Scoutcraft area as well as rocks
- clear brush and trees from Woronoak Dining Hall
- trim branches from the front of the Knox Dining Hall
- trim back branches on Shop Road
- trim back branches on the Rifle Range Road
- clear brush and trees from Apple Orchard
- power wash tent platforms
- re work trail system and maintain

The following list includes items that are needed at our camp. If you can provide any of these items, they will be very welcome.
